Tripitaka blocks are exposed to the risk of fire,
dust and other haza-
rdous environments, therefore, the life span of
Tripitaka Koreana cou-
ld be shortened. To complement these hazards, Haeinsa
is operating
a new system from May the 1st, 2005, which is
'Limited Opening Hour of the House of Tripitaka
Koreana'. |

From views of preservation and utilization of World
Heritage, we are continuing preservation and maintenance
of
Tripitaka Koreana as a living thing. Also we are recording
conditions of each block with close examination, thus,
we are preparing for the rebirth of Tripitaka Koreana
as future Tripitaka Koreana. Therefore, everybody can
look
and utilize it. |
